Roma Sublate

Primus tempus historiam mortis Caesaris narrauit.

Usque ad finem, me delectabit.

  • Salve!

I stumbled upon this page as I was searching Google...what a find! Your work is extremely impressive, and an absolute pleasure to read.

I am a current AP Latin student studying Virgil's Aeneid (in hope of passing the AP test this year). My friends and I have just created a blog to discuss various aspects of this renowned work, and review what we go through in class each day. Please feel free to check it out (despite the fact that it is not written in Latin). We would really appreciate any knowledge you have to offer on this subject, or comments/suggestions that could improve our blog (and perhaps even make it as interesting as yours).

Lastly, I would like to add that is is simply delightful to find other people with a passion for the Latin language, and more importantly, who chose to voice their enthusiasm. May our blogs contribute to the knowledge of future generations of both Latin students and Latin lovers!

  • You can find out more about Latin by listening to

the Latinum podcast, which is totally free.

The Latinum Podcast is free, with a free textbook

pdf, lessons, and readings, using the Restored

Classical Pronunciation of Latin. Latinum is

highly regarded, and has thousands of regular

    users.

Schola - The only social networking site in

existence where only Latin is used, and where the

entire site is in Latin, it is a sort of Latin

    version of Facebook.
    http://schola.ning.com/
SCHOLA ALSO HAS A FREE RESOURCE OF OVER 3 500

IMAGE CARDS, with the Latin word for an object

written over the top of a photo of the object.

This is an excellent way to learn new vocabulary.

You will be able to really strengthen your Latin

vocabulary using this free resource. The images

can be found in the photographiae section of

    Schola.

These sites should be enough to help you get on

with learning to read, write and if you want to,

even learn how to speak Latin.

  • Verba Latina quaerebam in quibus littera 'y' invenienda esset, sed ista inventio una bona est.
